I would like to talk about how fitness isn't something that should come once in a while in PE/Sport studies, it is at the core and everyone should and can benefit from it. It is an area that is as open and broad as you want it to be and by setting a good foundation you can develop real empowerment.
This can be done with limited equipment and also with a small investment and some creativity you can create indoor/outdoor environment that harness the best conditions for students to learn about there own bodies.
This is what it is all about we must teach students to love there bodies and what they can achieve, and show them how to harness there strength. Showing them real results of commitment and training.
We have fitness as a core component of the curriculum that doesn't ever go away because there is nothing negative about developing ones knowledge and understanding in this area.
This can help as it develops lots of prior knowledge for GCSE and A Level PE/IB
I will focus on: Core movements - why teach them and how to structure sessions Motivation - how to, different strategies Teamwork and competitions - set them up use them to benchmark and enjoy all of your hard work.
